Cowboys from hell Pantera Tribute
Cowboys From Hell were born in late 2005 from the joining together of 2 local bands, Arsura, a thrash metal cover band and Fuzz Fuzz Machine, one of the most interesting bands of the Italian scene, which played the opening act for several huge bands such as Extrema,Meldrum,Strana Officina and many more.
In 2004,former Pantera guitar player Dimebag Darrell’s death left deep sadness in the whole heavy metal world, that’s why James(vocal), Mark(guitar), Gabri(bass) and Walter (drums),who covered several Pantera songs in many Italian clubs in the past, decided to commemorate this great artist and his band in the only way they knew: by playing the Pantera songs once again as hard as they could, this time in a true tribute band fully dedicated to that kind of music.
In 2005 the band choose the name “Cowboys from Hell” and step into the studio to start covering work.
It’s been easy for Mark, an amazing guitar player grown up on bread and Pantera music, to find that identical Dime’s sound and, due to the accuracy of the rhythmic section, performed by Gabri and Walter, and the extreme similarity between the voices of James and the great screamer Philip Anselmo, in a few months the band was ready to hit the stage.
Two hours of non-stop repertoire traced the career of Pantera, recreating the style, sound and even the scenario which is the outline of a performance including tracks such as A New Level, Cemetery Gates, Becoming, Domination, the inevitable Cowboys From Hell and many others, up to the exhausting Fucking Hostile, flag song of the band.
In 2006, thanks to the great success in their area first and throughout northern Italy later, Cowboys From Hell signed with Dean Guitars Italy an endorsement contract for the historic guitars Dimebag Darrell used to play, becoming the first endorser band in Italy to give tribute to Pantera.
