SINCE MATERIALISING IN 2004, Jay Smith’s Deviant UK has established itself as a force to be reckoned with on the European Dark Alternative scene. The long-awaited debut album ‘Barbed Wire Star’ was released in September 2006, spawning the anthemic club hits ‘Raptured Saints’ and ‘Access Denied!’. Their unique sound is powerful, distinctive and instantly accessible.

This band is defined onstage – perpetually on tour, they have taken in the length and breadth of the UK, Mainland Europe and much of the USA [opening for Project Pitchfork on their 18 date 2009 tour and a 24 date headline tour in 2012].

Quintessentially English and proud of it, Deviant UK is masterminded by devilish singer, songwriter and frontman Jay Smith (“a true showman with an ego the size of a planet” – Rocksound Magazine). On the gothic scene, this is as close as we have to the cartoon pop star, a self-confessed minor celebrity who never fails to provoke a reaction from the underground scene he calls his own, never fails to entertain with tongue often firmly embedded in cheek.

Musically, this is dark electro pop with a black granite heart, fusing pumping electronics & metallic guitars to dancefloor beats while Smith’s snarling, angst-ridden vocals coat every song in ice. Insanely catchy riffs and fist-in-the-air choruses combine to stand Deviant UK head and shoulders above their peers.

Driven by distinctive imagery and huge stage presence, the influences are worn proudly on the sleeve but Smith has developed a unique sound that is instantly recognisable. With an unwavering belief in the value of the ‘pop star’ Smith engages audiences head-on with an overwhelming confidence that is equal parts arrogance, charisma and psychosis.

The aptly-titled and hotly anticipated second Deviant UK album ‘Very Bad Things’ arrived in February 2011, preceded by European club hit ‘Wreckhead’ [featuring remixes from the likes of Grendel and Assemblage 23]. Both releases topped the alternative charts in the UK and earned superb critical acclaim from the press.

The Deviant star continues to rise meteorically with more to come. Proven to be able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with scene heavyweights, whether on these shores or commanding the stages of Europe’s major festivals, new material showcases another confident stride forward, compounding the throbbing electronic rock swagger of Very.Bad.Things & pimping it’s ride dramatically. You want subtlety? Then you will be disappointed; instead you can expect an electronic rock band with too much attitude and big balls.

With an eagerly-anticipated third album ‘In. Your. Face’ and European & US tours planned for 2014, Jay Smith has dragged Deviant UK into the major league…don’t bet against him.

Deviant will appear at the spectacular Alt-Fest in August and undertake a full UK Tour with US legends Orgy in November.

The energetic live shows have been received very well by audience and media. XMH already played at festivals like Wave Gotik Treffen,

Summer Darkness, Gothic Festival, Infest, Terra Gotha, Antronic. XMH has a take no prisoners, in-your-face attitude with main-focus singer

Benjamin Samson, who takes control of the stage and is viciously shouting like a rabid dog on steroids.

XMH’s growing songwriting maturity will surely not deceive the harsh elektro crowds since their sonic mission remains unchanged: inflicting angry

hours to defenseless dancefloors! And they are armed with a bunch of potential new club hits full of strong ripping basslines and hammering beats:

check songs like “The Blind”, “Snakes”, “Product” or yet “The Business” which all attest that XMH have overrun the barricades to grab you by the throat!

Mirexxx is Stijn S.(vocals) and Posse(synthesiser) formed in Mechelen,BE.
You can describe the music as dark-electro/EBM/electro-punk. Mirexxx,literally an illegal toxic substance,is an injection of poison, somekind of backfire against the violence, hate, sexual offence, lack of individualism, lost humankind by wich we are surrounded every day. Mirexxx is our way to be ourselves in a world of hate, deceit and violence.

DJ FritZ, host of the new and popular underground party UNTERWASSER, has been spinning records for over ten years. His affinity with different styles of music makes him a very versatile DJ who keeps filling dancefloors.
FritZ spins from EBM to techno, darkwave to witchhouse, neofolk to power noise and electro to industrial, but since he gets most of his inspiration from the tunes he himself loves to dance on, any dark and harsh sound is usually his way to go.

The founder of AUDIO CONVULSION started creating dancefloor mayhem in 2013, with a fresh new vision for the dark dancefloors. He creates mixes with scene related tracks combined with Hard-Dance and all it’s subgenres. But also tends to go very experimental. This setting gave him the ability to have many guest appearances on various Dutch events such as Antronic, Access, Cyberia, Unterwasser & the UK festival Infest.
